Unless someone at ABC is dreaming, Melissa Rycroft will be joining Dancing With the Stars tonight! Last week she was humiliated on the same network, but a different show. You just can’t make this kind of reality TV stuff up! No sooner does Melissa get dumped by Jason last Monday night, then a full week later - DWTS picks this girl up and gives her a real shot at something bigger and better than Jason Mesnick.

Last week, both Jewel and Nancy O’Dell had to suddenly bow out of their commitments to the upcoming Dancing With the Stars. Both of these women had severely injured themselves while rehearsing the first dance routines they needed to perform live on DWTS, tonight.

The addition of Melissa Rycroft to Dancing With the Stars was confirmed in “People ” yesterday. When “Us Magazine” tried to get a firm statement that Holly Madison would be replacing Jewel, and Melissa Rycroft was replacing Nancy O’Dell, ABC would only say that viewers will have to watch DWTS’s Monday night premier, to find out the real scoop. Isn’t that just like ABC though?

According to sources, we will actually get to see Melissa Rycroft perform tonight on Dancing With the Stars. Even if Melissa falls flat on her butt, I will have to give her kudos for trying!

Is Melissa going to be ready to compete on Dancing With the Stars?

MelissaRycroft does have cheerleading skills and a background in ballat to help her catch up in this competition. Still, the rehearsal time to get prepared for tonight’s live show, could have only been a day, or two.
